One thing that you also might want to do is post some "evergreen" articles. These are the type of articles that have a long shelf life -- say a few years or so. To do these, you can talk about politics, but you just have to keep things general enough that the information won't appear dated after a few weeks.
There are a lot more suggestions. Maybe I need to post another article outlining everything that I've learned so far on my blog.
Finally, you should add the Google Follower button so that I can follow your blog from my Blogger Dashboard.
Oh, and feel free to stop by my blog as often as you like and "link spam" the comment. I've changed the html code for the blog so that all of the comments are "dofollow" and they get counted by the search engines. The default for blogger is "nofollow" so they don't get counted by the search engines.
